We're a small family-run business based in Blackburn, and we've always believed in doing things the right way. That means looking after our customers, supplying products we'd happily use ourselves, and being available when people need advice or support. It's a simple approach, but it's one that's shaped everything we've built at Butchers Equipment Warehouse since day one.

Our story began in 1988 with Yusuf, the father of our current owner, Mohammed. Before starting the business, Yusuf worked as a saw doctor, sharpening, repairing and maintaining saw blades for butchers and meat processing businesses. Through years of working closely with his customers, he spotted a gap in the market that many others had overlooked.

At the time, reliable bandsaw blades could be difficult to source, prices were often higher than they needed to be, and finding someone who could offer practical advice and support was even harder. Yusuf knew there was a better way to do things. Drawing on his experience and industry knowledge, he began supplying bandsaw blades to local butchers, building the business around honest advice, dependable products and being there when customers needed help.

That approach quickly earned trust. Customers recommended the business to friends, colleagues and other businesses within the trade, and what started as a small operation steadily grew. Mohammed grew up around the business, watching his father build long-standing relationships with customers and seeing first-hand the importance of reliability, knowledge and good service. Those lessons remain at the heart of the company today.

Over the years, Butchers Equipment Warehouse has expanded far beyond bandsaw blades. While our commitment to customer service hasn't changed, our product range has grown to include everything from meat mincers and butcher blocks to chef's knives, catering equipment and specialist tools for food preparation professionals.

Today, we're proud to supply butchers, professional chefs, restaurants, catering businesses and passionate home cooks across the UK. As a small team with decades of combined experience, we enjoy helping customers find the right equipment for the job and sharing the practical knowledge we've gained along the way.
